The course will be run by guest instructor, Rebecca Blades

The first sessioin of this course (7th May) will be a step-by-step demonstration by Rebecca, showing how to hand sculpt a cat figure using stoneware clay. By the end of the three hours you will have made your own cat with it's very own personality!

Your cats will be looked after at the studio and once dry, put through their first firing in the kiln, to turn the clay into ceramic.

The second session (28th May) will involve glazing your cat using underglaze colours and a matt transparent glaze over the top. Rebecca will again demonstrate the technique and support while you glaze your own.

The cats will be left with us at the studio again to be fired in the kiln. Once they are ready for collection, you will be contacted by Fiona to arrange for you to pick up your finished work. If you are unable to collect, your cat can be posted to you for an additional fee.

Light refreshments will be provided.
